The upward trend in internationalization has continued since 2005, following the launch of the long-term "Study in Poland" program by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) and the Perspektywy Education Foundation.
The increase in the internationalization rate, now at 6.95%, results from more foreign students choosing Polish universities. In previous years, this was also influenced by a decline in the total number of students in Poland; however, last year saw a slight increase. In the 2020/21 academic year, a total of 1,218,046 people studied in Poland—over 14,000 more than the previous year.
